Here at Paddlesdown we are active Wildfowlers, between Sam, Stotty and I we will probably chalk up 200 flights this season.  So what does that tell you? It tells you that we know a thing or two about wildfowling, decoys and decoying so we do know what we are talking about.

Over the last year Flambeau Decoys have come on in leaps and bounds, a few years back a good product was spoilt by poor paint adhesion but that it now well and truly overcome and the latest Classic Pintail even include the latest UV technology.

The Flambeau Classic Pintail features not only an exclusive, original Roger Desjardins carving but also the attention to detail that depicts the Flambeau slogan "Realism that Gets Results". This decoy has an ultra realistic paint scheme applied with Flambeau's proprietary painting process to yield unparalleled adhesion. In addition, this Pintail was designed using Flambeau's unique weighted keel which allows the decoy to ride well on the water while providing an area on the keel to wrap and tie your decoy cord. I have found this keel system rides a rough tide very well whereas I have had other brands of decoy turned upside down!

I’m using Flambeau Duck Deecs for the third season and can report good paint adhesion, no cracking or any other problems. Great value Duck decoys and 100% reliable.

I use a few Pintail Decoys in my decoys spread when tide flighting my decoy spread as the contrasting colour gives good visibility at distance. I place my Pintail deecs on the far side of my spread so that I can use them as a “marker” to judge the outer limits of range.
