Lohman are renowned for producing high quality but affordable calls, when calling was less popular in the UK one of the only brands you could find was a Lohman. They then seemed to take a backseat and the now extensive range has just started to re-emerge following the acquisition of Kolpin/Lohman by Decoy giant, Flambeau.

I tried out the Lohman Gold Series Crow Call and expected to find that it had some unique feature that set it apart from our other Crow Calls especially our best selling Haydel’s TC87. I am now at a bit of a loss as it is just as good and just as easy to blow as the TC87. The tone it produces is excellent but all but the same as the TC87 and the volume is excellent and as this is a very hard plastic call it will be audible at a greater distance than a wooden call.

Simple to use, in fact all but idiot proof – I’d say it was idiot proof but I’m sure that there is one out there who would try to prove me wrong! Simple to blow, I like the fact that you can blow it as hard as you like and it won’t jam or produce a useless note. A solid call that should give many years of reliable service.
