Big River Calls were founded back in 1985 by a World Champion Caller and they gained a great deal of popularity with Duck and Goose Shooters in the USA. Big River Calls have a reputation for being reasonably priced and uncomplicated easy to blow calls.

In our experience the Sweet Cherry Mallard Duck Call is the easiest of all Mallard Calls and it requires very little air and no “force” to produce a lovely mellow note. My little lad struggles to get the necessary control with many Mallard Duck Calls but this one is a real doddle for him and a favourite call on his lanyard.

Just remember that this easy to blow call will produce a soft note but it sacrifices a bit in the volume or decibels it emits. Use this call inland, in calm conditions or as your second call when working Mallards close in.
