Here we have a surprisingly good Game Bag!

I’m a bit of a traditionalist who likes a decent heavy Canvas and Leather made Game Bag and at first this one did not appeal. Then I took a closer and realised that this is a very well made, functional and durable Game Bag and an excellent price that really belies its quality.

The first thing you notice is the bag is pretty light and is made with a very tough dark green outer shell. A large bag measuring about 36 x 46cm so it is large enough to take what “Mr Average” could manage to cart around on a days Rough Shooting. Inside the bag has foam like lining which I have found easy to wash. The front of the bag has a mesh net in which you place Game to cool, this net is fine enough to prevent access to Blue Bottles and the like. Unlike the larger diameter used on “traditional” Game Bags small items stored in the net compartment are unlikely to fall through the netting. The shoulder strap is broad, adjustable, sturdy and well mounted to the bag. The edges of the bag and the seams are all taped and secured to prevent fraying. Closure of the lid is by the use of quick release plastic buckles.

In summary, not a tradition style but very functional and durable – a good product.
