Grub's footwear is based on a waterproof 5mm chloroprene rubber booty, which is lightweight, insulating, flexible, buoyant, and resistant to mildew, unlike traditional rubber and leather boots. The tough texturised nylon face has a durable, water-shedding surface and stretches to fit snugly to the calf. The ankle, foot and toes are protected by the natural rubber shell and a toughened toe cap. Inside a knit lining wicks moisture away from the wearer and each model has a reflective pull on loop to the rear.

The stalker further benefits from the high traction Vibram® Hiking Boots style outer sole and phylon midsole which give the ultimate grip on steep and uneven ground.
